Minglanilla Sports Development for High School

Today the Tulay National High School is celebrating the Nutrition Month as well as School Intramurals to be held in Minglanilla Complex.

Because of less support from local government, the school sports development was left in the hand of busy teachers. The local government forget its duty to each constitutient by providing or supporting the school with sports specialist or sports trainer.

The Cebu province have many talents in sports specially basketball from UC, Footbal from Don Bosco and Badminton varsities from University of Cebu. These people are willing to share their skills in talent and can be their sports trainor at small amount yet there are no proper communication between the 3 groups.

No wonder this is happening not only in Minglanilla but also in entire nation.

Hundreds visitors watched the latest Paquiao - Cotto fight last 3 week ago. Everybody cheers for Pacman as expeceted. When the National Anthem of Puerto Rico was played, you can see and hear in the big screen that they are cheering for the Anthem.

What disappointed me is that when the Philippines National Anthem was played, viewers from Minglanilla did not cheer the song. What a sad reality that Filipino's are no longer proud of our national anthem.

Cebu Province VS Batangas Province Volleyball Challenge

Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos attended the opening event for Gov. Garcia Unity Volleyball Cup. While the crowd wow the by the dancers from University of Cebu for a powerful opening dance performance, Ate Vi said she is impressed with the tournament and thinking of the possibility for a best of the best volleyball challenge between Batangas and Cebu in the future. The latest online writing said the Batangas province is also conducting a provincial level volleyball cup the same with Cebu.

The Cebu Province vs Batangas Province Volleyball Challenge is expected to happen in the near future as Vilma Santos got interest in meeting the two teams. This thing if happen could begin the National Volleyball Tournament organize by Governors. Let us wait for the press release of these to female governors.

The Minglanilla team won a decisive victory against well prepared team of Dalaguete Town with the score 25-15 and 25-12. Even there are only 6 players present in the opening game, the Minglanilla Town managed to beat its first prey. Most of the Minglanilla players are working while other are still engaged in CESAFI. CESAFI is also Provincial wide sport athletic competition.

Minglanilla Volleyball team frequently practiced at the Sports complex and sometime inside Minglanilla Badminton court during rainy season.

Minglanilla Dynamic Badminton Association

The Minglanilla Dynamic Badminton Association held its first meeting this year last Sunday at Minglanilla Badminton Court.

The objective of the meeting are

1. Set the new officers of the organization
2. Announce the government plan in the badminton court
3. Announce the coming local or inter Barangay badminton tournament
4. The entrance fee for all players to P5 for the expenses of cleaners.
5. Set the next meeting.
